Editorial Reviews
Amazon.com Product Description:
These super-light, ear-bud headphones weigh a mere six grams (.18 ounces.) They are the perfect headphone for those who relish lightweight, quality headphones. The silent cap confines the music to the listener’s ear and away from those in the immediate area, a plus for those using the headphones in the coffee shop or library. The earphones are also open-air, meaning they allow ambient noises to enter the ear; this translates to a safer headphones, as the listener will be aware of horns, whistles and shouts.
The MDR-E828LP’s deliver a quality sound, even with their small size. The headphones use sixteen millimeter drive units for a deep bass and clear treble. Sony also uses neodymium magnets which provide more energy per ounce than other conventional magnets. The PET diaphragm gives the headphones a high rigidity for minimum distortion. Finally, Sony’s Acoustic Twin Turbo circuit achieves high sonic output by utilizing sound chamber and duct technology. The oxygen-free litz cord transfers sound efficiently. The cord is one meter long (3.3 feet) for ample range of movement. The housing is a modern, hi-tech, black and silver metallic finish.

great headphones by Snowbell
These are real nice earbuds. I love using these with my mp3 walkman as an extra pair.
Best headphones; Unbeatable price by D. Klein
I’ve been using these headphones for probably four years now. They’re ridiculously cheap, yet the sound quality is amazing. They’re extremely comfortable (even without the padding, which I always lose somehow) and I’ve never had any problems with them. The sound quality is by far the best I’ve ever heard, even after using $100+ earbuds.
I do seem to go through at least two of them a year though, but it’s usually my fault. Not like it matters though, at $10 a pop, grab a few of them, you won’t be disappointed.
Some Pretty Darn Good Earbuds by Entropy
The Sony MDR-E828LP Fontopia Earbuds are arguably the best buy for under $20. This is my fifth pair, and I’m very pleased. I use my more expensive headphones when I’m at home, but these are perfect for a trip to the gym or walking to lecture. If you’ll notice, the frequency response is 12-22000Hz. This means that these babies can produce really nice highs and lows. Again these are highly recommended!
The headphones for the average jogger by Isaac Tercero
Hello,
These headphones might not have the best sound quality but there life span is longer than a year even if you use them to jog. Unlike other headphones which break. Companies won’t cover ‘user based’ damages such as the cord bumping up and down to to your movement or excess moisture from the small amount of sweat that might accumulate in your ear. But these headphones are actually durable!!! I don’t even know how long they last because its been over 18 months and they work great!!! Definitely the best headphones for runners!
Durability (5/5) +18 Months
Sound Quality (4/5)
Comfortability (4/5) w/the soft covers and (2-3/5) w/o the covers.
