IPOD Docking Station by R. Knight
Bought this with my Apple Composite Cable. I like the dock. A little pricey, but what from apple isn’t.

Worst Apple Product Ever by R. Arrighi
First of all, I love everything Apple except for this product. The menu button on the remote has no function, what’s that about? I purchased the conponent A/V cable which enables me to watch and hear my music and music videos on my HD TV. It works GREAT! The remote that comes with this docking station does not permit me to select the next music video after finishing playing one, totally unacceptable since that’s why I purchased this unit in the first place. Save your money!!!

And that’s one star too many! by The Joy of Techs
I’m glad I didn’t waste my money on this thing (rec’d it as a gift). $50 for a “remote” that won’t turn the product on…remotely?!? And “you can’t use the remote to choose a different playlist” — what’s that about? Oh, and a Menu button that is “for use with other Apple products” — what other Apple products?!? My new iPod Classic IS an Apple product, and not a cheap one! So why doesn’t the remote’s Menu button work?!? I bought a Sony radio with a built-in docking station for my office, and its remote does everything you can do on the iPod itself. All these raves I’ve always heard about Apple products, now I know the truth.

It’s A Rotten Apple! by J.P. Mik
To the folks who’ve dealt with the Apple mp3 problems: I share your pain!

I purchased the Apple universal adapter with remote because I thought it would be great to see and hear the downloads from my iPod Classic on a large screen and a better audio system. Wrong!

I attached the non-apple cables to the tv. Nothing. I tried arranging them every which way with no luck. I returned the “not-Apple” cables and purchased genuine Apple cables. ($40.00 more than generic)

Then I tried to use the remote control. Since I was unable to get the “menu” button to function, I looked to the Apple Universal Dock Manual to figure out what was wrong. Guess what? There was no manual in the box or so it seemed). I tried Apple on-line support for about 6 - 7 hours: I could not find an article that provide assistance with the remote. I searched the box again. Lo an behold I found the “compartment” where the manual was hidden. (The people who developed the packaging for the iPod products sure didn’t account for the “I can’t find anything” consumers like me). When I read that the “menu” button has no real function, I thought what the “f**k” and ended up in this “user’s review” forum.

I haven’t tried the cables, and given my experience, I may just return the cables, dock and remote, satisfied that I learned a lesson about Apple products.

I thought Sony was the worst with after-market rip-offs. Congratulations Apple, the title is yours!
